Disciplines involved in construction

Building requires several areas of knowledge to materialize projects and keep them running.

Construction-related basics

Civil Engineering

Civil engineering is a branch that is responsible for the design, constructions execution and maintenance of large-scale works such as highways, airports, dams or railways. It is one of the oldest branches of engineering and in its areas of knowledge converge, such as:

  • Geophysics.
  • Urbanism.
  • Environmental engineering.
  • Transportation engineering.
  • Surveying.
  • Hydraulic engineering.

Public services

In general, public services are all those provided by the State through its governments and they are delegated to organizations and institutions to ensure their proper functioning and administration.

One of the most relevant characteristics of public services is that they are usually sustained thanks to the payment of taxes and require periodic heavy investments to maintain the adequate conditions.

Mechanical assembly

It consists of the action of structuring the different constituent parts of an industrial system or equipment and placing them in their final position to fulfill a function within a production process. This activity, therefore, will require not only the precision of engineering, but must also combine with the flexibility to solve difficulties on the ground that are not always contemplated in plans and projects.

Mechanical assembly includes the installation, alignment and calibration of equipment in plants and industries of various types for large-scale and volume production.
